All Boat Works Undertaken by the Floating Boatyard in London, Essex and Hertfordshire

The Floating Boatyard offer maintenance, repairs and painting for canal boats and narrowboats on the inland waterways and canals in the UK. All boat works undertaken from our orange ex British Waterways workboat and via road call out. We operate on the river Lea in East London, North London, Essex and Hertfordshire. The business is set up as a workers owned cooperative with charitable focus.

This main category is entitled “all boat works undertaken”. It contains all our posts, while the subcategories are for posts on specific types of works.

Here you will find posts on general subjects about living and working of the canal and river network. We have something on just about any boat related subject. From cruising pattern requirements to general boating information. There are detailed posts on boat painting, as well as engine maintenance and repairs. You will also find information on more specialised works like bilge cleaning and welding, etc.

All boat works undertaken is not just a slogan, it is what we actually do. We carry our almost every imaginable boat repairs that can be done in the water. We are also available to come to boatyards and marinas to work on vessel out of the water or on hard standing.
