This category is for all our posts about equipment hire. As part of our business repairing and painting boats, we offer a tool hire scheme. Boaters can come to us and hire the tools they need to maintain their boats. This is aimed to be short time hire for private individuals. We do not have the capacities to offer long term tool hire or commercial amounts of tools.

The Floating Boatyard offer maintenance, repairs and painting for canal boats and narrowboats on the inland waterways and canals in the UK. All boat works undertaken from our orange ex British Waterways workboat. We operate on the river Lea in East London, North London, Essex and Hertfordshire. The business is set up as a workers owned cooperative with charitable focus.

Our equipment hire service includes all tools that are needed to maintain and repair boats. Tools for hire include grinders, saws, drills, sanders, welders, generators and more.
